Abdominoplasty

This procedure otherwise known as a "tummy tuck" is designed to tighten the muscles of a lax abdomen, remove the fat from around the waist and stomach and remove loose hanging or stretched skin from the area. The usual candidates for the procedure are people with poor skin tone who have lost a significant amount of weight and are left with hanging skin, or women who have lax abdomens from pregnancy and do not wish to have any more children. The procedure leaves the patient with a significantly tighter, flatter abdomen, usually resulting in clothing size reduction if the abdomen is where the patient carried most of their weight.
